Public Relations

1. General information

The purpose of our public relations activities is to (1) increase transparency and accountability of organization management and project  activities and (2) to involve community members and allow them to actively participate in ViVID's projects. We will carry out these activities using ViVID's official website, SNS, and ViVID’s Online Volunteer Group.

A. Public Relations for Transparency and Accountability

In order to ensure the transparency of the organizational administration and operational activities, to the community and stakeholders, ViVID adheres to the following philosophies:

Philosophy of Blue: Transparency
The organization always works to develop transparency. In order to increase the transparency

a. We fully disclose whether donations and grants are being used for an appropriate project at a proper time, without contributing to corruption of persons in authority of a developing country’s government or a community, and are in the end effective in getting to the target community and its members  who  are in trouble.
b. We publicize our internal decision-making and the purposes or contents of our projects in visible and understandable ways.
c. We keep records with a form that can be verified by a third party, and we constantly present information.

We believe that our activities will be more efficient and effective by assuring the transparency of our activities and helping local residents and stakeholders understand our organization’s activities.

Philosophy of Orange: Accountability
We believe that accountability is not only about financial accountability in accounting, but also continuing to report about the schedule of activities and any contents. We strive to ensure all community members, stakeholders, grantees, organizations that are directly or indirectly involved in our work, and those who have always supported ViVID, receive this information promptly. We believe that it is important to provide detailed reports on results and other information in a timely manner. We also publicize concepts of our actions, choices, and decisions, and we make an effort to ensure that the purpose of our activities is understood by everyone associated with our organization.

B. Public Relations for Inclusion and Participation

We run the ViVID Online Volunteer Group on Facebook and work on publicity as a promotion of the community development activities. To make ViVID's work more practical and efficient, the online volunteers will be part of the ViVID membership. We operate a platform for exchanging community development ideas with ViVID members, involving community members and allowing them to actively participate in ViVID's project. We provide this service as a multiplication of "inclusiveness" and "participation," which is one of the features of ViVID's projects and programs (called Inclusive and Participatory Public Relations). The following are examples of activities within the Online Volunteer Group:

   - ViVID's partial business policy decision

   - Donation Request

   - Request for cooperation in spreading information

   - Survey of social issues

   - Documentation
