In the 13th episode of the “Stay Home Stay with ViVID” series, today I interviewed a boy who lives in Sekyere!
His name is Rashid and he is 23 years old. *We quoted his answers directly, and did not edit the original text.
--Introduction of Rashid
I’m Rashid, 23 years old. I am studying at Senior High School, at the same time working for money to support my education. Also,I am also learning how to drive car.
I have 5 brothers and 1 sister. In my future, I want to be a immigration or a prison officer. Also, I like having fun with everyone and play together with friends.
--Can you tell me about Sekyere?
Good points in sekyere is the chief palace side and sekyere zongo and sekyere saviour community, because a lot of my friends are there so I went there to fun with them in case am borried (bored). And also the people in my town are very accommodating. There's a very huge mountain my place which serves as a side of attraction to the strangers and people from far.
--How is your recent life?
Same as Japan, we don’t have school because of Coronavirus. We don’t have assignments, so I just stayed my room and relax.
--Do you have some stress because of coronavirus?
No. But not every day I feel good, sometimes I feel nervous. Because our life is in dangerous conditions now.
--Do you know about the Velonica buckets which NGO ViVID installed?
Yes, I always use it! It is good for us and I think many people use it.
Did you enjoy his story? It was just an easy interview, but I’m happy to talk with Mr.Rashid who lives in Sekyere. My impression from his story is that he actually hasn’t felt so much stress than we worried but rather has been spending nice time even in this difficult situation, for example, by making pounding fufu with his friends. We appreciate that many people in Sekyere use Velonica buckets that we installed.
